"NOTHING is too much trouble"

I wanted to make a lamp!

With a vague idea of the items I needed i.e. A screwy thing at the bottom of the lamp holder! How long should my cable be?

What bulb should I have?(tour of different light bulbs and explanations) What wattage? Explaining confusing light bulb wattages. All this for a total spend of about £10. Brilliant pleasant helpful staff. My lamp looks fantastic and it is not going to set my house on fire!
