We drove thru melbourne after a horrible trip to my doctors and it was chucking it down and cold.i saw this little chipshop so we parked outside and ordered cod & chips.wow,an awesome feast for the eyes.Huge golden crispy battered cod.the flesh was meaty,pure white,thick,it tasted beautiful,like at the sea side many years and memories ago.The chips were lovely,big,also golden & fluffy.none of this amazing meal was greasy or fatty.whatever they use to fry the food in is just perfect.we both agreed they were the best cod & chips by a mile in the whole of Derby/Derbyshire.we've made it a little ritual to go once a week now,come rain,or shine.we even take a little bottle of vinegar & a pot of salt with us..
