A review of R F Potts by Helpful Colin written on Friday 12th of June 2015
I've bought electronic components from this shop since I was at Junior school in the 1950's. They still wrap up resistors and capacitors in little brown paper bags like they did then when they would write the bill on the same bag to add it up.
I used to go there on a Saturday afternoon with my dad when he wanted to buy valves to fix our wireless and first TV when Bob Potts Senior ran the shop. Every time we visited the queue went out of the door it was so popular. They used to sell lots of government surplus from world war 2 in those days. Then they sold 2nd hand circuit boards from the early computers covered in transistors. I had great fun re-using these components and learning how to make all kinds of electronic circuits.
This shop also sells a variety of tools and reconditioned monitors and PC's. I've got two of their
2nd hand DELL monitors in this room now. One is my Monitor No.2 attached to my DELL PC..
