A review of Union Blue by Richard written on Friday 29th of May 2009
Soon to be under new management, The Union Blue is the place to go if you don't want to pay a fortune for a good pint. Old Fashioned maybe, but this is a proper pub, and the Land Lords do know how to throw a party.
The Karaoke on a Wednesday and Sunday is fun, and the pub is small enough to cope with those people just starting out and want to sing their Karaoke Song.
There is a mixed crowd of friendly people, not clicky, and the beer garden is a sun trap, making this a popular destinations for those who want to relax the weekend away.
Food to be introduced in the summer, and a regular drag queen - watch this space - the Union Blue is one of the best kept secrets of Derby - .
