"Haus has gone downhill since the menu was cut"

The Haus is a brilliant place to go if you want to sit down in a quiet bar with a friendly atmosphere. It is such a refreshing change from the many bars where the music is so loud you can't even have a conversation with your friends. Table service removes the stress of standing and ordering from a bar.

The main thing I liked about the Haus was it's vast menu of drinks. It was unlike anything I had ever seen in a bar, there was a lot of choice and each drink had a paragraph written to describe it, perfect for the amount of exotic drinks and unusual cocktails on offer. I made it my mission to try different drinks, even though most were expensive, but it doesn't matter because these are drinks you just don't get in many other places.

But alas, somewhere before Summer 2007 the drinks menu changed. It was cut down to a mere fraction of what it was and has now become just the same as so many other bars in Derby. Instead of the menu being as thick as a book it is now a mere two sides of A4, offering the most basics of drinks.

Haus has lost the thing that made it so special. .
